• July 2022 Update on San Diego Real Estate Trends in Mid-Summer •

Despite a significant cooling from the extreme heat of early spring, San Diego home prices remain elevated above last year’s levels. According to C.A.R.’s latest report, June’s citywide median home price was $863,790. That’s down 4.0% percent from May and up 5.4% percent from June 2021.

Reflecting on market activity statewide this past July, we saw prices in the San Francisco Bay, Sacramento, Los Angeles, and San Diego regions all continue to fall from the month prior. All four areas have improved in housing inventory, creating opportunities for homebuyers who have previously held off.

As San Diego’s housing market continues to moderate, prospective buyers in many neighborhoods can expect to see more listings coming into the market and fewer bidding wars. Here’s a detailed look at July numbers plus a few newly listed properties from reali.com.
