As higher mortgage rates collide with record home prices, the housing market shows definite signs of a shift, leaving many would-be buyers with more affordability challenges and less purchase power than just a few months back.

This past month in June, we saw prices in San Diego – along with those in San Jose, San Francisco, Sacramento, and Los Angeles regions – all fell slightly from the month prior. These formerly competitive market areas have also seen an increase in the number of active listings, leaving aspiring buyers with more homes to choose from this summer.
