• March 2022 Update on San Diego Real Estate Trends in Early Spring •

As we head into the second quarter of the year, California home prices remain elevated above last year’s levels. According to C.A.R.’s latest report, March’s statewide median home price was $849,080, up 11.9 percent from March 2021.

As home prices continued to grow in all major regions, San Diego led the way ticking up by 7 percent from the previous month. All four areas, especially the San Francisco Bay and Sacramento, have seen an increase in active listings, leaving buyers with more inventory to choose from this spring.

Despite higher mortgage rates and price increases in most regions, California buyers are not pulling back from realizing their homeownership goals. Here’s a detailed look at March numbers plus a few newly listed properties from reali.com.
