This value is simply just a raw count of the number of properties being actively marketed and categorized as available, on-market listings. It means the Sellers of these properties are still open to Offers and have yet to agree on a sale with any potential Buyer yet.
Active listings represent the current supply of properties on the market. Any time a Seller lists a property up for sale, it is considered to be part of inventory. An active listing informs potential Buyers that the house is still available to purchase. Buyers can attend showings, Open Houses, or write an Offer on any property in active status.
